ANCHOR HANDLERS Anchor handlers are well compensated based upon experience and expertise. Additionally, Riggers earn significant safety pay and extra earnings by waiving time off. Riggers are on a On Call schedule. When called or paged, he must return the page within 30 minutes. Riggers are traditionally offshore 2/3 of the year and they must remain offshore until the job is finished—except in extreme emergencies. Time off is generally not paid time. Work assignments are based on rotation. Riggers work in all kinds of weather - night and day.
